On October 11, 2018, a U.S. Congressional briefing entitled “A Final Attempt to Defend Human Rights in China” was held on Capitol Hill, Washington. Christians from The Church of Almighty God(CAG) were invited to attend and speak to congressional staff and foreign policy experts on the ongoing situation of persecution of Christians of this Church by the CCP.

November 2017, a series of incendiary reports came out of Hong Kong. Ta Kung Pao and Wen Wei Po, both pro-CCP leftist newspapers, published a media onslaught of 17 articles in a frenzied attempt to discredit The Church of Almighty God, a legally registered religious entity in Hong Kong. This kind of media attention occurring in mainland China under the dictatorship of the CCP would not be cause for comment.

On November 19, 2017, the French Jaurès Team of Amnesty International, a long-time human rights watchdog organization in various countries, held a running activity called Run for Freedom (Courir pour la Liberté) at the Buttes-Chaumont Park (Parc des Buttes Chaumont) in Paris, aiming to call on the Chinese and Turkish authorities to immediately cease persecution of its Turkey chairman, Taner Kılıç, Chinese women's rights activist Su Changlan, and nine other Turkish human rights activists.

From December 7 to 9, 2017, the first Mondoreligioni - Incontriamo le Religioni del Mondo (Meet the World Religions), an activity of religious and cultural exchange, was held in Rome's Città dell'Altra Economia, jointly organized by the Associazione Italiana di Sociologia (Italian Sociology Association), the magazine Confronti, and EPOS.

On October 1, 2017, the three-day Christian Family Film Festival in Ellington, New York came to a close. The full human rights documentary produced by The Church of Almighty God, Chronicles of Religious Persecution in China, stood out from the crowd among a number of the films shown, winning the silver medal.
