Only after hearing their fellowship did my wife and I understand that “being saved,” as spoken of in the Epistle of the Romans, referred to the acceptance of the Lord Jesus’ salvation and to no longer being condemned to death for violating the law. It was not the “being saved” that we had imagined, of being thoroughly purified. What they said made sense. That explanation of “being saved” is in line with our situation of living in a state of committing sins and then confessing those sins. So, what the Lord Jesus did was just the work of redemption, not the work of thoroughly purifying and saving man.

If God had not given human beings material blessings, then who would enjoy the sufficiency, the riches in the world? Could it be that only allowing you the chance to take your place, take up your place as the people of God, is itself God's blessing? What if you were not one of God's people but a service-doer? Does that mean that you would not be living within His blessing? Not one among you can yet understand the root of God's words.

Man is far from treasuring the names that God has conferred.

Many feel resentment in their heart for being called "service-doers." And many start to love God when being called "God's people." So don't ever try to fool God, His eyes see and penetrate all! Who among you receives willingly, and who gives obedience? Understand that if the Kingdom's salute does not get to ring out, would you truly be able to obey, to obey to the end? All of this God has pre-determined: What man can do, or think, how far he can go. What if you were not one of God's people but a service-doer? Does that mean that you would not be living within His blessing? Not one among you can yet understand the root of God's words, oh, the root of God's words.

God’s saving of man is not done directly using the method of the Spirit and the identity of the Spirit, for His Spirit can neither be touched nor seen by man, neither can man draw near. If He tried to save man directly using the perspective of the Spirit, man would be unable to receive His salvation. The first incarnation was to redeem man from sin, to redeem him by means of the fleshly body of Jesus, that is, He saved man from the cross, but the corrupt satanic disposition still remained within man. The second incarnation is no longer to serve as a sin offering but rather to save fully those who were redeemed from sin.
